Social Media Community Standards

Help keep our online community safe and happy

Quinte Pediatrics Special Needs Meet-UpOur various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, our blog, etc.) are excellent places to comment, discuss and connect with other users and we highly encourage you to take part! Before you do though, please take a moment to read over our Community Standards. It is understood that by engaging on any of our social media platforms you have both read and agree to the details outlined below.

All of our social media platforms are intended to be safe and courteous online spaces. Offensive language, images and links, as well as harassment and/or spam in any form will not be tolerated. Please treat fellow users and administrators with dignity and respect.

These platforms are excellent places to meet and connect with other parents, caregivers and individuals with a shared interest in children’s health. Still, please remember not to share sensitive information about yourself or your family while engaging in these spaces. Quinte Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (QPAM) is not responsible for the outcome of any such action and we encourage you to exercise your discretion. If you are not comfortable sharing something, don’t!

Finally, while we encourage information sharing in these online spaces, please note that due to legal concerns we are not able to provide medical counsel for specific health concerns. As appropriate, we will provide approved and trusted resources for informational purposes and all discussions will be monitored for false, misleading or questionable content. We can learn a great deal from one another but please remember that the information shared in these spaces is not a replacement for your doctor. If you are experiencing a medical emergency or concern, please seek the appropriate care.

QPAM reserves the right to remove any content it deems to have violated the details contained within this policy.

Thank you and happy sharing!
